Some questions about PSU - K_I_R_E_E_K - 12-10-2006 Maybe....just maybe in a far future i will buy or obtain PSU, like in a year or 2 when i buy a new computer, but i have some questions to see what i can do and what i can not do 1- to play online what tipe of connection would be suitable 2- will PSU kill PSO, i mean will people stop to play pso to play psu? 3- some game you need to buy the original in order to play online, will i have to buy the original to play online or can i get an copy (sorry sega:'( ) and play online with no worries. 4- can people have more then 1 char in psu? Some questions about PSU - Moonwraith - 12-10-2006 1. Broadband. Dial-up would work, but you might suffer from pretty bad lag. 2. PSO will probably become a ghost town when PSU hits, but I imagine the servers will stay up a bit longer. 3. Since you need a serial number to get online (at least for JP, I can't see them doing anything different with other releases) you will need to buy an original to play online. 4. Offline, you have 4 Story Saves, and 4 Extra Mode Saves. Online, you have 4 character slots per account. Should USPSU take the route of JPPSU and split the server into two 'worlds', you will have four characters per world. Some questions about PSU - pink - 12-10-2006 Why must it always be 4. Why can't they fork over like... 12? XD Some questions about PSU - colohue - 12-10-2006 Well...they can. Just buy three licenses. Some questions about PSU - PSU.UndeadAngel - 20-10-2006 The reason they only included four character slots (in my opinion) is because you can change your class at any time. The only thing you can't change is your race and probably gender. Since there are only four races, you are covered. The other reason is probably to save on disk space on their servers. Some questions about PSU - pink - 20-10-2006 Limiting the offline characters was a dumb choice though... it's a PC version people! Let us have as many as we want. (I think they were just too lazy to program in PC version as an exception to the offline character limits. After all, on consoles it makes sense because their space is more limited.)
Some questions about PSU - nomercy - 20-10-2006 Moonwraith Wrote:1. Broadband. Dial-up would work, but you might suffer from pretty bad lag. I've heard from a few people that tried to play PSO with dial-up say it doesn't work. At all. Might not be the case for PSU, but you never know. Some questions about PSU - Darkwolf30 - 20-10-2006 I don't think Dial-up will work for PSU. Just for the fact that its a bigger game and alot more people are going to be on broadband there which might cause the players massive lag. Some questions about PSU - Moonwraith - 20-10-2006 PSO should work with dial-up... the game was originally MADE to be dial-up compatible. Then again, obviously broadband is preferable. Some questions about PSU - Darkwolf30 - 20-10-2006 Yeah. PSO was made for Dial up. i don't think PSU was. |
