Alright, here we go. What bands have you found recently, and have fallen in love with? For me, I have quite a large amount.
Nothingface: I first heard their song "Murder Is Masturbation". Their sound appealed to me greatly, and I instantly became a fan.
Demon Hunter: I downloaded their album "The Triptych". With songs such as Not I and The Science Of Lies, I became a fan quickly, and have to this point obtained all but a few of their songs.
DeMise Of Eros: Downloaded their album on a random music hunt. Some of their songs are very similar, but they're still awesome.
I'll post more when I think of them.

Ophthalamia: A friend introduced me after he heard only one of their songs (their cover of Deathcrush), and I was hooked. They sound a lot like Mayhem except with more Doomy elements and a better vocalist.
Disincarnate: I was always aware of this seminal death metal band because I'm a huge fan of James Murphy, but I didn't get a chance to hear them til recently, since none of my local shops ever have their album. I managed to find it in a HMV on a trip to Liverpool and I couldn't believe my ears. This band has the most precise and technical sound I've ever heard from any DM band. Yes, even more polished than Death's "Sound of Perseverance" which is amazing in itself. Overall, if you have even the slightest fleeting interest in DM, pick this up.
Ted Maul: I'm always looking for the newest thing in Death metal/grindcore, so initially when I heard about this band, I was rather skeptical. By a passing interest I happened to notice their album sitting on the shelf in my local Virgin, so I bought it for the hell of it. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much.
Oh how wrong I was. Considering how young they are, they're amazingly skilled, especially their vocalist and drummer (Memories of Decapitated's Winds of Creation spring to mind. R.I.P Vitek). Check them out.

Ahhhh, Ted Maul. I have a few tracks, but what I do have, I like.
More that I remembered. XD
Stratovarius: I'm not sure how to describe them, really. They have a heavy sound, but at the same time it's so melodic it sometimes makes me think I'm listening to mood music. And the vocalist is pretty damn amazing, too.
Nile: Egyptian death metal, it just has to be good, right? Well, it is.
Abigail Williams: Wow. Just wow. Death metal at it's best.

Nile frickin rule!
Abigail Williams... Hmmm I heard Metal Hammer describe them as new age Dissection, and Dissection are my 2nd favourite band so I'll have to check that out.
Stratovarius have an amazing guitarist, Timo Tolkki, he's a little strange but an absolute wizard on the fretboard!
Oh one more, not so much a band as a composer, Paganini.
I realize he's 167 years dead but I just recently got into classical music because of the Neo-Classical guitarists and man, this guy was ultra fast. Have a listen to some of the 24 Caprices he did (#5 especially), they're ridiculously fast violin pieces. Even faster than most guitarists out there today. Its complete madness I tell you!

I've been music-hunting again. Came up with a few gems.
Amon Amarth: I had a few songs by them already, but hardly ever listened. Now I am though, hells, their guitar-playing is intense.
Requital: i'm not sure how to describe them, lol. Their music is extremely heavy, and I have no idea what the lyrics or titles mean, as it's mostly Russian.

Vertical Horizon: Oh my god these guys kick so much ass it's unreal. Lyrics, music, all of it is amazing. Look up Shackles.
CCR: Creedence Clearwater Revival. Hell. Yes. I only found out about them from watching Die Hard 4.0 with subtitles XD
