I looked on the forums for a while but couldn't find a thread for this. say you obtained an illegit item such as a vivienne but it had legit stats. would the game still read it as hacked and no longer give you any rares or would it not know since the stats are legit? also what's the max for a percentage?

On pso gc and pso xbox the game phantasy star online ep1&2 has a system to find out hacks and disable drops, it's mags above lvl 200 and stacked items.
Everything else is considered legit by the game, dupes, high %, impossible mag stats (like 200 mind), unobtaibable equips.......

On Pso BB such things don't happen, but the entire server is like 1 big piece of code, it can be changed to suit the players.
For example, there was a time where ppl hacked weapon % and mag stats, now it's impossible, everytime a % goes over 100, the weapon will turn into a monomate, same for a mag above lvl 200.
Everything else is considered legit by the game code, but this doen't mean the items are actually legit, any doubt, ask the GMs in game, they can check if the player had any past history with hacks, they can check if the items are duped (they use a duped list to compare the items)......

The max % of a weapon when found is 90%, but you can tekk it to 100%.

thanks. I was wondering because I doubted the legitimacy of my vivienne but I don't remember the player's name so even if it wasn't legit it wouldn't matter

Viviennes are easy to get by playing Black Paper's Deal.

If your on SCHT its probably not a hack. If you want do DDwBP. Its easy to get stuff like Viviannes in that quest.
