Currupted memory card data.

Okay, so i was saveing my phantasy star data, and i accidently turned off my gamecube to soon. i didnt think much of it. So the next day i tried going onto Phantasy star, it said my data was currupted and needed to be deleted.

Any ideas on how to fix it without haveing to delete the memory card data?

Also sorry if theres another thread liek this one.

I just saw this today on gamefaqs/gamespot forums

make a new game on another memory card, and use your first one as a 2nd one in a multiplayer game.

Have 1 player from the corrupt card, and a 2nd from the other (Make sure the uncorrupted card is in slot 1). You should (hopefully) be able to transfer the items you want to keep over, as the game doesn't look for the 2nd card's Guild card, (the guild card is usually the first thing that corrupts in my experience)...

Delete the Guild card file in the corrupted card, and (with luck) you'll be able to keep your characters.

I tried that before, although it just said that the data was corrupted and needed to deleted ratehr then seeing a list of characters that were created.

Did you lose many chars or something?

Because maybe next time you can make a backup save, i'm sure some ppl do it to prevent char loss.

If you play online at schthack you can ask maybe someone to restore the char and items, it's not exactly legit but if you really want it then it might be a good solution.

Man i know just how you feel..After a 47 hour pso session i fell asleep..Upon waking i hastily quit/saved the game and turned the console off..

Was so frickin annoyed the next morning..

ugh im so mad though, cuz just before it got currupted, i found the ice wand:dargon, and that special weapon machine gun, with one of the special weapon sabers x.x;

Well all i can say is that if you begin again then you will find those rares again.
They aren't that hard to find so i believe if you go online you can ask for one, i believe some ppl will give the weapons for free considering they find them constantly.
