You don't have a choice.. If your computer dials up to go online, you need the 56k modem, and if it doesnt, you get the barodband adapter.

Both are $39.99 (ERV), and can be found by ordering from http://Amazon.com Both are also $8.95 a month to play both PSO games as long as they are the same region version.
