SPECIAL Weapons with "its abilities are unknown"

I have some weapons with "abilities" that are unknown, like my Gandors Mechgun, and I wondering how or if you are able to know what it does, so you can use the extra attack. I tried taking to a tekker...I probably sound like a noob, lol. I looked for Gandors Mechgun in the item guide, and couldn't find it, and I just want to know what I can or can't do to find out what it does.
ive never heared of Gandors Mechgun before. im guessing its a s-rank. whats it look like
