A PSO friend that i met online gave me a hacked weapon, and told me that it increased the frequency that you find rares (when equipped) and i was wondering if this was at all possible?? and if so, how much more does it increase findings?

I very much doubt there is such an item although I am not saying it isn't possible. Sell the hacked item if I were you. Most of us don't like dupers as they are called. As long as you don't come into my games or try to give me one then they can do what they want.
