If he already has this ID, then that is one less reason for Greennill.
mimas Wrote:I was actually reading the drop charts as I wrote my previous post and, to be perfectly honest, I didn't notice anything particularly special in Viridia's drop list. It's also a bit bizarre to say that RAcasts equipped with "shotguns" (which, I hasten to remind you, are more like giant underarm crossbows with five barrels than anything else) are necessarily better at causing havoc than RAcasts armed with rifles, in fact I developed a personal love of rifles when I had my old RAcast as they literally let me put a bullet between a Tollaw's eyes without it even knowing I was there - unlike Shot types which have a pitiful range and abysmal accuracy that really won't go down very well with a RAcast. (I speak from long-term experience.)Rifles and Shots both are incredibly useful. At higher levels, RAcast's accuracy with a shot is not an issue. Also the huge ATP of a RAcast means they are best at doing lots of damage with a Shot. Whilst doing more damage in 3 hits may be a little help, doing more damage in 15 hits will be a massive help to the player/team.
It makes more sense when taking on a group to confuse them and help them on their way by attacking 5 at once rather than to attack one at a time.
mimas Wrote:plus it actually has some decent Ranger rares (such as the Yasminkov series rifles, or ven Spread Needle) as well as being one of the only two IDs in the game to get a Guld...When you take into account that Spread Needle and Frozen Shooter can be found by other ID's and that Guld isn't ever going to drop, the only real reason you have given is the Yash rifle and imo that weapon does not justify picking that id.
mimas Wrote:Care to clarify? You've got to remember that the ATP of a Frozen Shooter is on a par with the Justy, plus freezing with a gun isn't always a blessing if, in the case of the RAcast, you have freeze traps...In the harder portions of the game such as Tower runs, you will find that sniping enemies from afar is your only option. A Frozen Shooter in a tower run is almost compulsary.
When I recommended Frozen Shooter in my previous post I implied that it was a GOOD rifle, not necessarily the BEST.
If you are close enough to a tower enemy to use a freeze trap, then you are dead

I like both Greennill and Viridia, so am not too sure which one you should pick, but as Kefka is by far the most knowledgable person on these forums, I think you should go with his advice and pick Viridia.
