It is indeed a number code. Each character has a number value, then all the numbers are added up, and, like Schoichet said, the last digit in the resulting number is taken, and that dtermines your ID. Any more questions?

I suppose I was wrong about the different letters having a different built-in coding majig. Hmm...interesting way of deciding Section ID on PSO, anyway. Okay, I'm outta this thread now.
