So, a couple friends and I spent a day or so doing nothing but running through areas on whatever difficulty levels we could. . . well. . . survive on.
Unfortunately, this lead us to believe that since we could whiz through V.Hard that we could probably manage through on Ultimate, despite knowing full well that every time we take a trip into Ultimate we die frequently. This was one of those times.
Suffice to say that I died numerous times and had to sell items I was stockpiling for various reasons just to get my meseta up to par. And that, a few times, I forgot to deposit said meseta before doing my runs and lost a considerable amount over the course of the day.
Night rolled around and it came down to just me and one other friend, still making runs through various levels on various difficulties, trying to both make back some of our losses and to try and get something worthwhile out of it. . .
And, within an hour and a half or so I believe ( time kind of started getting blurry at this point; I'd been awake for almost two days before undertaking this and so it could have taken longer or it could have been faster ), I came into owning a Red Saber and a Red Handgun. This, to me, was absolutely amazing. I've come across some damn nice items in the past, mind you, but usually not so close together ( and the fact that I was begining to think the game hated me by this point ) so I'm absolutely estatic.
Sorry for rambling on, since I kind of doubt anyone really cares and I imagine that most of you will just kind of stare and go ". . . a post this long, just about two Red weapons? Eh. I *toss* Red weapons", but I'm overjoyed.
To actually give this thread some kind of substance, I have some questions. How high can you grind the Red Saber and the Red Handgun? The Saber, if I remember correctly, is slightly stronger and faster than the Yamato I currently use but it's combo hits less. . . so I was wondering if it's worth the time to grind it, or if I should just use the grinders on Yamato? Or, and this is a really big or, are there any other weapons I should look into and save grinders for, for a HUmar of my level?
