Can I play online with several mem cards worth of characters?

Can I play online with several mem cards worth of characters?

I've got my characters spread over two different memory cards, as my friends have characters on there as well, and it just occured to me; If I play online will I only be able to enable one memory card's worth of characters for online play since there is one Hunter's Guild card file on each memory card? I'm basing this on the fact that there's only one serial number with each game, and doesn't the serial number get linked with the Hunter's Guild card file?

No, I used three memory cards when I was online, Kefka has at least 3 memory cards full of characters.....
