Well, I couldn't stand for that, so I went looking for an alternative, and I found it.
Below is a step-by-step method to downloading a program that will increase the speed, setting it up, and using it.
DISCLAIMER: This worked for me, I can't promise that it won't screw up your machine or something. I'm using Windows XP Home, with Internet Explorer 6. Also, please read all the steps before starting, so you know what to do beforehand.
1 ) Go to http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download.html and click "Download Internet Download Manager Now".

![[Image: 1.gif]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/Serpent7/1.gif)
2 ) It shouldn't take long to download, even on dial-up. (It took me 5 seconds
)
3 ) Once it's downloaded, open the file labeled "idman403.exe".
![[Image: 3.gif]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/Serpent7/3.gif)
4 ) This will open up the installation dialog. Just keep clicking next, it's the easiest way.
![[Image: 7.gif]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/Serpent7/7.gif)
5 ) After you've finished installing, you'll be prompted with a box asking if you want to install a program that will be integrated with Internet Explorer (or Firefox, if that's what you use). It says that it's an advanced tool that'll find files that you won't normally be able to find. I think it calls it "Advanced Browser Integration". It is important that you click NO here. I clicked yes, and had to uninstall it and reset my internet connection.

6 ) Go to http://www.psobb.com/downloads/client_confirm.php
7 ) If everything's gone well, it ought to come up with a prompt asking you wehter you want to download the file. Obviously, click start download.
![[Image: 2.gif]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/Serpent7/2.gif)
8 ) It should start downloading. My download time went from 9 hours to 1 hour, so I hope this works for you all.

It's important that you don't close any windows that have anything to do with the Internet Download Manager, i.e. ones that have this symbol: ![[Image: 5.gif]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/Serpent7/5.gif)
Can a mod with power in this forum move this to the appropriate forum (if it's in the wrong place) and sticky it maybe? Thanks.
Any questions, post them here.
Incase you were wondering, yes, I did write that, it's not just a copy + paste!

I makes it faster by splitting the download into 8 sections.
