If it were possible to hack PSO:BB so that you could have unofficial servers and play on them, how bad would that be? Clearly it would still be illegal, but at least it wouldn't effect people who play on official servers. episode 4 is exclusive to Blue Burst. Episode 2 was never available on the PC version. Are there any versions that don't require additional fees to play multiplayer?

I know things like that have been done in the past, but does anyone else have any opinion on how likely it would happen to PSO:BB, and if it would be any easier than other more complicated MMORPGs?

I hope it happens. I've played a few MMORPGs. The illusion of the game world is so shallow compared to the range that video games go through... I feel like I'm in a graphical internet chatroom, and I ALREADY pay monthly for my internet - High-speed internet. How about I just buy the game and use my little player on the internet. public servers unreliable? how about servers that are running anti-cheat software are authenticated? I mean, how many years have we had IRC?
Ah well. Business will never let go of the easy money made off of foolish customers who don't care about indefinately doing "the grind".

There already are private servers for PSO BB. I don't know much about them and I don't really care, to be honest. Even if I did, it's against the rules to give details anyway.

I don't know of any private servers for BB but im sure there is atleast one. As far as I know, SCHTHACK won't be supporting PSO Blue Burst...he was going to but Sonic Team changed and added so much stuff that his servers wouldn't work with BB. But, maybe he will find a way to support Blue Burst soon...just saying...for now he isn't.

But yea im sure there will be more before Blue Burst Official servers go down.

The official servers are fine, they won't be going down for a long time. I have still seen no evidence of cheating, and I doubt it will be possible. If you want to cheat, or someting, then use a private server for it. But please, keep the game clean.

BB will become hacked, hearing about the constant hacking going around Ep I and II, hacking in BB, unfortunately, will be inevitable.

Ah, not unless Datel release an AR for the PC. Also as data is stored server side, there will be no data to alter for a hacker unless they hack the server. Only a few posess this power, and only a few will become non legits so I hope they will keep all their hacks and all that 'Cr@p' to themselves!

I agree with Anti, and due to the nature of the game and its easy patching system, if any trainers/tools/cheat programs are released, it should be possible for Sega to patch the relevant hole up.

There will be hacking on BB, that's a given. However, I do not believe it will be widespread. At the moment all hackers seem to have is talk, and lots of it.

But if server side data is so safe, why do people use stuff like AV's, because there will be a few BB saddos out there who will tell you they have cheats for a game, to go to a site, then they will infect the computer with a key-logger and get the persons log-in details and what have you, or put a file on your computer to corrupt your character the next time you play BB.

Time is precious, and these half-wits have all the time in the world to ruin the game.

And if time is money, Sega have no time.
