I love WMP. I pledge my SOUL to WMP Tongue

I like the visualisations, the GUI, the extensive media formats you can play, the variety of plugins to get even more playable formats, the menu layout, how everything is so organised... The playlists - And that my puter runs it really well Wink

my frieds at school do not like my music, if they hear then they say it is cool.
just because the music is from a game that doesn't mean it it a crap.

Good for you! Tongue WMP FTW! XD

And your post before that quoted was very... precise and emotional! :S And yes, Sonic Rush is a DS title, and a great DS title that is, but don't let yourself judge the music just from the platform it's on ^_^

I often listen to the PSO music... Sometimes though, I turn off the music and have just the SFX. It makes it easier to concentrate. Other times, if the music is boring, I turn down the TV, and start playing music off my computer... and my song files consist almost entirely of OCRemix songs. Tongue

But then there's always the solution of just popping a "Music Disc. Vol3". Burning Rangers FTW! Big Grin

*cuts up with chainsawd*

see, the thing is, i never use visualisations, theres nothing wrong with the GUI on winamp (in fact, i'm very sure its better) you can play practically ANY format of music on winamp without getting plugins, and i have no idea what you mean when you say menu layout, but i bet my soul winamps is better, and winamp is definately more space efficient and organised than WMP, and playlists suck.

I dunno about all of that. I like to keep all my searching/sorting criteria in one sidebar and in winamp it's all over the place. Mess! By GUI I mean Graphical user interface and what I mean is that you only have what you need displayed at one time (If you're playing a playlist you just have the songs in that list and that's it). WMP uses a number of tabs to switch between functions which I find very useful.

I suppose it depends what you want from music playing software.

I'd listen to the SFX in PSO:BB but there's no volume control! I can hardly hear the music over the barta and rafoie etc etc.

no no no no! in winamp, you also only have what you want displayed- i dont bother with playlists, so dont display them. i DO want the equaliser, though, so i display that underneath the window w/ pause buttons, etc. on it. as for the different functions, what functions do you actually use?

I've used Winamp and Windows Media Player both...

The thing that shocked me... Windows Media Player is disturbingly more stable on my PC with the programs I run. Plus there's one particular skin on Windows Media Player I like because it uses little, to no system memory.

That... and Winamp has a tendancy to mess up my MIDI drivers so the instruments sound... out of tune... so yeah... bugs and stability issues drove me away from Winamp.

The media guide is a useful way to listen to music that you don't have and haven't got the time to go out and get/download.
