Just go to your user CP, then down to Group Memberships.

Hello and welcome to the forums! theres no need to be nervous, everyone here, and on the team, is awesome ^^ and for applying to a group, Nomercys got it right, i can either accept or deny you from there ;p you'll have access to the team member only area after joining too
