Alright, i can't for the life of me figure out how to use the Aegis Guard. Can someone help me with it?

I don't know how you are sopposed to use that particular one. are you sure you have enough def dice to use it? when are you trying to use it

Whenever i am about to be attacked i use it and it only costs 2 dice points.

I'm not sure myself. The description isn't that clear. I think it might block certain effects....
