Ok, does anyone know if its possible to play pso on a lan? What I mean by that is, is there some way that two people each with their own GC and adapter, connect to each other and play a game with just them? (2 or more)...
Something kinda like if you took a cross-over cable to link the two gcs together, they would be on different tvs.. so you'd still have the full screen... anyone have any ideas?

It wouldn't work as the game does not have a LAN option.

Thered need to be some kind of server software available. The 2 GCs would then connect to a pc running that software, as if they were connecting to the official sega server but instead the IP address of the pc would be specified.

Oh, is that possible now? Or hasn't Baru made his/her server software public for GC?

well, if all that needs to be done is setting up server software on a PC Im sure I can do that no prob, whats this Baru's server software you speak of?

I think you would have to set up some kind of version of server software like the official ones

Yeah thats fine, like I said... I could prolly figure it out. I was able to setup a private server from this MMORPG game I played before, Ragnarok Online... anyways, but if any of you know where I can find the software I might need... or atleast point me in the right direction Im sure I could make due

theres a site i know that have made there own servers for PC and DC and apperntly its possible for DC players to play alongside PC players, there saying they wont support the GC till sega close the servers, but id imagine theyd have sum sort of software for the GC version, i cant post it yet cos i dunno if its against the rules

There is a private server for Gamecube already up, but I was wondering if the hacker responsible (Barubary) had released the server software so anyone could do it.
The other servers out there are made by some of the PSOGC cheaters, but like Shifty said, are only for PC/DC until sega close down their GC servers.
Without this software, you cannot play PSO over a LAN.
