Its just aswell you put question 7 at the end otherwise if you said that first, you'd probabily get kicked out and not allowed to ask any of the other questions! XD

Although im sure even if you dont get to ask him, there's gonna be lots to make up for it! Its E3 for crying out loud!

(no pics yet, but you can expect a 2, 3 minute in game video of me playing.(I totally kick ass at universe!!! You are going to see some crazy fighting on my part.
Well folks here is an update for e3 2005.

Concerning Phantasy star universe

This game is best played on the PC(it looks absolutely beautiful)
This game is not best played on PS2(it looks really blurry)
also for ps2 there is semi slowdown, but not on the PC

The character customization is much bigger. You can change everything all the way up to what socks you wear. There is no more just one style of clothing and different colors. You can change everything that you wear.

As for the battle system you can now
1. Lock on to an enemy
2.You can side step around the enemy in a circle
3.You can now have a different types of weapon combinations such as
a)Saber, and gun
b)gun, and dagger
c)Two handed sword
D)Wand

(these were the only selectable in the demo at the time)

4.The weapons now have their own special attacks unique to that weapon. Say you are using a sword and you have low health. Well what you can do is swap to another weapon by holding cirlce and than use the Dpad to select which weapon you want to use. The weapon you would switch to would be the wand because attached to it is Resta, and gifoie. The wand does not have a swinging attack such as saber, dagger and sword.

If you are facing multiple enemies you would bust out your sword.(this can all be done pretty much instantly) Well what if you want to hit from far, but still want that strong attack when you are up close. Than you would choose, saber and gun combination. This way when you lock on (hold L1) and than you switch to gun(hold R1) you can strafe around the enemy and shoot them, but if you get close enough it switchs to using the saber.

5.You can now go into first person mode by tapping (R3) while you have a gun out. So now if you are to far away to lock on you can just snipe the enemy from a far.( I had much fun with doing this)

6. The combos are now done differently than PSO.
If you want to do a combo all you have to do is rapidly press the square or triangle button, but wait rapid you say? Yes you no longer have to do it with rythm, but you are allowed to that is.

Say you like to attack really fast you would obviously just button mash the hell out of the controller right? Well what if you want to do it rythmically such as you are used to in PSO. If you do this you are going to do more damage than you would by button mashing, but this will be slower than button mashing. So basically the battle system works to how you like to play.

7.Combos can now be up to 5 to 6 hits. The way to do this is to do Standard attack, standard attack, standard attack, than Special attack, special attack, special attack.(depending on what weapon you are using) You cannot combo with the wand.

(thats about all I can think of that is new about the battle system(other than the fact that its hella fast if you are skilled at PSO)

Online version of PSU
I talked to one of the exhibitors and asked them many questions. One of my questions was "How is the online on this game going to be" The sega rep told me that it hasn't been developed yet. I also asked "Are we going to need hunters license" He said that they aren't allowed to release that info.

Release date 2006?
I don't know if this is true, but I did get it from the mouth of one of the Sega exhibitors by Phantasy star universe. I asked him "So when do you think the game is coming out. He told me winter this year and I said "Whaaaa??" than I asked is that for Japan or America? He said "For America" Well heres to hoping that this is true! Also for extra reasurrance when you beat the demo it says "Release date Winter" Thats it. Unless I read it wrong that would mean this winter no?

Phantasy star online Blue burst new content???

Well staying and play PSU most of Both days of e3 I met a PSOBB US GM. Clumsyorchid from the PSOBB official forums thats right a game master. He told me many interesting things. He told me for a fact that the beta will not get EP 4, but that very soon(when he said this he leaned over to me and whispered "and I mean very soon"
we are going to get an update that is going to make us want to play more than anything. I asked him what it is and he said "I can't tell you" and than preceded to ask "Do you know what it is?" He said "Of course I know" (He had a big ass smile on his face too ^_^)

Lvs of GMS?

After that I had one or two more question and that was. "What level are you at" and his response was "Whatever level I want to be ^_^" He than started to tell me he could be whatever level he wanted, lv 1 all the way up to lv 200. He also said that Gms haven't been around lately is because they have been busy working on the forums and other things like that.

"Player contests?"

My next question was "I recently heard that in japan a GM hosted a chair race and the winner of that race got a special item. Are we ever going to get to do that?" He than told me he knew about that and that we could expect the US BB to get contests and things like that in the coming months.

Release of Blue burst??

I decided to ask an all important question. "Is blue burst going to be retail" Clumsyorchid replied with "Its going to be a download game from sega" No retail guys sorry. I than asked what about the manual are we going to get a full one when the game releases? He said Yes we would have a full manual on blue burst when the game is released after beta"

Well that ends my report on PSU and PSOBB for now. Hope you guys don't hate me for not posting pics yet. I am still working on it. ^_^
I recently edited my Ragol.co.uk Avatar, and I would like to thank the original artist(whoever it may be) for giving me something to edit ^_^

Every year I say I'm going to e3...I think next year I need to make it happen. I'm beginning to realize what I'm really missing. The reports and news is only half of it...it's being there that counts!

Oh yeah wonderful news aero. I love YOU! Tongue jk I think you're cool though. lol

I won't be getting PSO: BB for a few reasons:

1. I got PSO1/2 and Sega do a poor job of maintaining that.
2. I've got better things to waste my money on.
3. I don't see the point in buying a game when I sort of already own it, with the exception of what PSO4 has to offer, I seriously doubt Sega made any real graphical improvements if they're using the same game engine and are incorperating PSO4 into PSO: BB.

That, and I'm not alll that impressed with PSO5/PSU to be honest, if Sega moderate it decently I'll be impressed, regardless, I'll still be buying it, (I was sceptical of RE4, but still bought it and enjoyed it).
