duping

this is not a thread on whether duping and duping to protect items is legit or not I am merely asking a question

I remember somebody stating that having a duped item will cause the game to not give out any new rare items.

so while I see the desire to protect your items what I don't see is the point if you can't get any new ones unless you already have the best ones in the game.

all I am asking for is a reply stating the reasons or that what I read was wrong. (or possibly I'm remembering it wrong)

The game can detect some hacks, namely mags above lvl 200 or stacked items, when you load to a certain area the game makes a search on your inventory, if it finds hacks it disables rare drops.

Now the duping is not recognized by the game, the game may look at the original and the duped item, but it can never tell wich is wich and therefore it won't disable rare drops

Duping items will not hinder you finding rares, but if you STACK items like atomizers Over 10, say you get 78 Star atomizers then that will stop you finding rares, another thing that'll stop you finding rares is Hacked Mags (over level 200).
