Final Fantasy 1+2

Has anyone ever played it?I keep getting killed because the story doesn't really give much help and i end up dying against realy tough monsters.

I know what you mean that happens to me in FF3 so what I do is I stay in one particular area for a while and level up before moving on that way I won't die as fast.

Right now my characters are level 18.The level up system in ff2 is wierd,though.

The leveling up system isn't all that weird, the more you use a certain type of weapon (spears, bows, swords, ETC...) the better level it is for that weapon. And the higher the level for that weapon, the more damage it does.

FF2 u can cheat basically. if u wanna lvl up ur guys magic, healing spells, weapon power upgrade or shield and unarmed. u hit ur own guys, till they have like 10% of there health left then u kill the monster; then heal ur guys after the battle (reccommended use the healing spell not potions. getting the healing spell to lvl 16 is basically the bomb as it heals i believe 2k hp per 1 character or 350hp(?) to the whole party). all my guys have 9999hp and 999mp from this and have 15 for each upgrade, some are 16, but to get 16 is brutal. and to lvl certain skills faster, use 2 of the same class of weapon, like if u do swords, u can use excalibur and some other sword (or 2 of the same type of sword like mithril swords; as long as its on the basis of the same criteria of the weapon). it puts x2 the xp toward the skill. (lances, staffs, canes, shields, fists etc etc..)

so yeah a little tip basically as to how u can lvl up ur guys in ff2, make sure ur fighting monsters that are weak and have no magic basically.

In ff1, train on low lvl monsters till ur like lvl 25 or so (cant remember what the place is called) but if u goto the cave that is south west of the elving village. inside that cave, if u move to the west there should be a "U" turn basically. Inside that "U" turn is a 2x9 stepping stone. each stone has monsters each one giving from 800 - 1600xp per battle. U may need to be higher lvl for this.

Once u get either games down pat, its basically beat ur own time from there restart the game, try and beat ur original time. so far ive beaten ff1 in 4hrs as my fastest. I can do faster, but I like to get my final weapon and armour upgrades for each character. ugughughguhg ultima weapon, i love that weapon so much.

I play FF1 for GBA and i cant beat the final boss.....its just too tough i got everything i think...my characteres are pretty decent lvl i just cant beat him :| :'( ....sucks

Dawn, do u remember the guy you buy the fairy from? if u do, go back to him, and get the things he sells, speed, str and some other boosting pot. buy those, make sure u have a guy that has the ultima sword. if u have a black mage that can do the haste spell and str boosting spell. your pretty much set then.

Once you have what u need, goto the final boss. Get ur black mage to do haste and str spell on the guy with the ultima sword once each. if you have a white wizard get that character to keep casting the heal(?) spell each round on every character (i think its heal that heals them all at once, cant remember). then the other 2 guys u have left, get them both to use the str, and speed boost pots u bought and use em on the guy with the ultima sword. do this for bout 20 - 30 rounds (when u have cast the spell haste and str boost with the black wizard once on the guy with the ultima sword, get him to use the pot boosters on the guy with the ultima sword as well).

Once u have this done, get the guy with the ultima sword to start hitting the shizzick outta the final boss, if your guy is like 80+ with the boost's up pretty high with his hp near max. U can do like 4k - 9999 damage xD.

Remember always keep the white wizard casting the heal(?) spell each turn.

If you dont have the ultima sword, do the air dungeon (bonus areas in the game). once u have completed the air dungeon, u should get the ultima sword. Its like the hawtest sword man .
