Considering the Terms of agreement are exactly the same on both sides of the ocean, I would expect the same.
I didn't really know where he lived, I just figured that people are more bored here. We had a s-load of hackers on the American servers on PSO. ![]() "How fortunate for those in power that people do not think"-Adolf Hitler

But chances are it wouldn't hold up here in the US where the guy is located. Mainly due to what he is damaging not being "real". This is unless of course Sega can show a loss of business due to it. And seeing how PSU is going strong I doubt they could show that. Yeah. But in the US and the UK, it isn't that big of a deal. Anyway, the UK always seems to be stiffed as regards online services, so it's to be expected. Although as for damaging what isn't real, some hacks can damage the actual hardware, can't they? So that I believe WOULD be grounds for legal action. Sega can show a small loss of business, because some people would stop their guardian licences if they were hacked continually, but again, it wouldn't be a very big loss. So the figures would show only a marginal loss, most likely covered up by an influx of new users.

Although GameGuard is indeed weak protection... the important thing is it actually gets updated. Another game I play that uses it is "Trickster Online". Right now there's only two hacks running around, and they're kinda weird ones... instead of the normal things like infinite health or gold or something, it causes guns to fire like machine guns and constantly score critical hits, and it allows mages to fire off their spells without charging them first.
Thankfully there's a constant GM pressence on the game and you can report someone by right-clicking them and writing up a report. I've had the pleasure of getting a temp-ban thrown on a good 5 or 6 of the pests now. XD Sega's past isn't looking too good on this side of customer service though, so it's tough to say how quickly they'll act on such hacking. The ones listed in this topic have been dealt with for the time being, but it's only a matter of time before they pop up again... it's up to Sega to actually keep fighting back... which is where my main worry rests.
