There is! But I can't remember if there's one you can do on SA1DX and SA2B on GC, as they were released in a different order. I think you might be able to do it with a Game Boy Advance, if memory serves. It was easy enough to do on the dreamcast, VMUs ftw.

As far as I know, you can transfer Chao between SA1DC and SA2B via the Game Boy Advance, but not from SA2B backwards.
