Techno ?'s

Ok lately i'v been having cravings for some techno and I wanted to listen to some new good stuff. Soo I figured het why not ask the awsome ppl on ragol for good song suggestions. So What I am asking is leave me some of your favorite techno songs so I can give them a listen.(specific songs)



Note:(if your just coming in here to bash on techno don't bother because we don't harp on what you like)

First off, let me ask you a question. What kind of techno do you want to hear? Trance, speed, house, etc?

But some of my reccomendations, although they may be a little weird or underground, would be Juno Reactor or DJ Supreme. Juno Reactor is a japanese techno group who does very celtic and darker, tribal techno. They also participated in making some of the music for the matrix movies. And DJ Supreme is some techno that I found on accident. It's has a definite house beat to it (meaning that it is the type of techno with a constant beat and the DJ just keeps remixing music to the beat) but it has a great, upbeat sound. Unfortunately, both are pretty obscure to find in stores so they might be a little challenging to get a hold of, but you could always download a couple songs to see if you like them first.

Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania, and Initial D are a few different sources of techno/trance/etc. that I listen to.

The thing about techno is, usually the best thing you can do is buy an album by an artist or compilation and just let it play all the way through. i find it quite hard to like specific songs, because if you ever go clubbing or to a techno gig, ull find that each song is mixed quite slowly into the next one, so it flows u see, so each song is only as good as the guy or girl mixin it.

Basically the point of this post is that you should go out and buy some compilation cd's, thats what i do, that way you'll listen to a broad range of dj's in each type of techno. My recommendations for compilations are "Hard House Classics", and the "Rush Hour" compilations (there's two of them.)

My artist recommendations would be DJ Shadow, The Chemical Brothers, and Dj Sal and MC Storm. Oh, and if you can find it, Rob Dougan, he did a lot for the matrix soundtrack, but his album Furious Angel is awesome. You'll probly have to download most of his stuff from things like Kazaa/Ares/WinMX and other p2p networks.
