I'm still in Vaati's castle, trying to get all the heart pieces before I go on. It's pretty hard to make sure you've got the fusions done for them. I think I'm only two hearts of absolutely full! It's a great game, but I don't think it's the coolest ever.
Are you sure you have to beat the game twice? I unlocked the big goron on the top of the mountain, and I think I just have to beat Vaati once and then go see him. I like the mirror shields in all Zelda games (even Majora's Mask!), I admit Ocarina of Time's looked outstanding, but I loved the effects in Wind Waker. Who knows what the next Gamecube Zelda will hold in store?!
Hey, I can still..

How do you get to the goron cave in Lon Lon Ranch. only then can you get the mirror shield and the last bottle i need.
Anyone caught smoking at Layer Road will be buried in the
centre circle by the forking groundsman, with only their head
showing, and left there during the second half.
Previous threats of electrocution, being made to listen to Will
Young and being hung from the floodlights have
failed to discourage all the smokers.
If Cardiff players had to stand and pay respects to an English national anthem, would they? I don't think so.
But Arsenal players manage to do it.

There are a number of places to fuse with in various cave walls. Each of these makes the Gorons go a bit further.

Ack, I can't believe I still cannot beat the temple I'm on. But I'll have to wait to continue to try, since I have to go back to school tomorrow. Plus the level is quite difficult..

You need to find all the marks (and eenie, Eastern hills, one of the people digging) and fuse with them. then fuse with the sixth goron in the cave. this will awakan the big goron at veil falls. feed him your sheild, beat Vaati then go back to veil falls. He will give you the mirror shield.
