Think of your wireless router as a radio station sending signals. You'll need some sort of a receiver (like a radio)to retrieve the signal and send it to the xbox. This is the function of the adapter. Xbox makes their own and will support it. It also costs more than any other (surprised?). I had to get two, one for each xbox. There are adapters by linksys, d-link, and others that claium they'll do just as well as xboxes. They run 70 to 100 dollars each.

First of all, I'm on Gamecube, not Xbox.
I talked to someone else about it; the $40 GC Broadband Adapter I already ordered is what I need for that. Heh, duh. Should've thought of that.

Xbox or GameCube doesn't matter, the configuration is the same. Just that you're fortunate enough not to have to pay $50 for Microsofts friggin' name.
