The reason i think game based movies are so bad is because movie directors and producers try TO hard to make them like the film/as cool as the film.

If they just heard about the pltoline seperately without being told it was from a game until like the last minute, then it probabily wouldnt be that bad at all, where as when they are making it, they most likely keep comparing it back to the games.
