Ethernet?
#1
Hey, please help me on this, guys.

I was trying to "purchase" a GAMECUBE BROADBAND modem, when I read that you need a existing modem with an ethernet connection.

Well, my exsiting modem is a USB one (DAMN U BT!). So I was wondering: Is this the end for my PS ONLINE dreams or is there some way I can tackle this?

btw. I have emailed BT about swapping the modem but have not yet recieved a reply Sad

Thanks V. Much!

Your cable modem will need a enternet even if you use USB for the internet.
So if you have a USB and Enternet port it's ok.
But if not bad luck.

Your modem should have some sort of ethernet port. If not you can always try and getting an adaptor. It would be fairly specialist though. Try http://www.maplins.co.uk (can't be bothered to try it out. Should work). A UK company who does lots of special computer stuff. Just don't do to the one Junon does, there is a big, fat American who works there I hear Wink

The only other thing you could do is link your gamecube upto a ethernet lan card in your computer and setup internet connection sharing. This way you can go online with your gamecube and pc at the same time and you wont have to unplug the cable everytime.
