Well I used to play on xbox, but from what I hear you can go spend 30 bucks get an Action Replay. Find the anti-fsod codes, {I belive they are posted on here some where} Also when you get an A.R.{action replay} you will be able to back up your chars. and items. So if a freak acident hapens and you do get fsoded you have all your weapons like new, as long as you update your backups every few days or when something imporrtant hapens.{i.e. lvl up major lvls, find a good weapon, got far in the game since last save} and I think thats about it hope I helped! ¿confused? pm me and ill go into greator deatail

Or just ask me, I mean I'm only helpin to write a guide on it heh... :

1.) Make your own games, FSODX will only happen if you are frosen in between the double save. FSODX is instant corruption. By this logic then, we know that if we make our own games no one is in the game to FSODX us when we enter and the double save occurs.

2.) Such Items as the Red ring, Dark bridge, Dark meteor and Dark flow are a sure sign of a hacker, also check their mag is not over level 200!

3.) The following: Manaknayda, FaNaTiC, Ev!L_Dr@G0N, Kamui Chan
Are all known FSODers

4.) Don't hang out in US ships, especially Deneb and Vega. Try to avoid EU ships as well, they can be a gamble. Playing with JP users isn't hard, just use symbol chat and I think you will find they are much better players anyway wink.gif.

5.) If you do get a corruption, delete your Guild Card file first, and your Character file last. This has saved me once before.

6.) If you are in a game an you get a regular FSOD, you will loose all un equipped and un banked items and meseta. So try to only carry one mag, weapon etc (much easier for forces).
If you are somewhere like the lobby, or not in a game, you will only lose un-banked meseta.
You may be hit by WS (word Select) FSOD if you or the FSODer is entering anywhere. If you enter a lobby, an FSODer there may hit you AS YOU ARRIVE. Alternatively, if you are in a game, they may swoop down and FSOD you. If you eneter the game, most likely it will be FSODX for you!

7.) If you have just changed areas on Pioneer 2, where the music is subject to change, (e.g. Hospital to main P2) and your disc isn't in great condition the screen may go black (possibly with the music still playing) also, If you are porting (telipipe, next area, boss etc.) then this may happen (the telipipe noise will continue). This is called BSOD. Simply open and close your disc cover and it will be fixed.
NOTE: If you get a BSOD online then as you fix the problem you will lose game-sync and will most likely DC.

8.) If everyone stops moving but you, and when you try to chat nothing happens, then you are most likely about to DC (or disconnect). This will not harm your game, but you may as well quit straight off to save some time wink.gif
Alternatively, there may be a long pause (for example in a boss sequence) and you may re-sync with the others.

--------------------

AR codes are limited and if you are using the PAL version they will not help much. Stick to my guidelines to be safer online.

Although he's been referred to as a n00b, I would watch out for a bluish HUcast named Bones around level 80-100ish. He entered a game and FSODed the whole party once (don't blame me, I didn't make it unlocked), causing me to lose a Sting Tip of mine. So he can FSOD... probably not much more.

Adding to what AH said: The US ships aren't necessarily bad if you come on invite to a locked game. However, you must ALWAYS stay away from Vega and ALWAYS stay away from the popular block. There is always, I've noticed, one block where people tend to congregate in the US ships. Currently it's somewhere in Altair. A lot of FSODers hang out here. I can't stress this enough, NEVER GO TO THE POPULAR BLOCK. If you see someone on your card list there, call them out instead of going to them.

ppl to also look out for: Ethan, Optimus Prime, and Revan (Another a hacker named Vio, but he's friendly. He'll only FSOD if you really make him mad. Other than that, he's ok)
EDIT: (Forget about Ethan and Revan, it seems you don't have to look out for them.)

Ok, recently such as this week, the ppl that will FSOD are usually in Vega and Altair. If you plan on going to any of those ships, go to an empty block, and check Block 5 and 6 if they're empty, cuz hackers will make some blocks disappear(or shut them down, whatever this is called)starting from blocks 1 or 10. ( I also heard altair block 8 was going to be shut down. It hasn't happened yet, so I'm not sure if it's true. I would stay away from there for a while)

If you do go inside a block full of ppl that will FSOd, either get ready to reset or freakin rush for the lobby transporter and go to Lobby9(no one's ever really there, maybe since its orginally a church themed lobby).

As for going into games, check for the names. Don't go into a game that's name is usually called "Free Items!", "Codes for Rares", or "Testing" because that may most likely contains FSODers. I'd also stay away from games that are called "Legit lvling" or something that contains the word 'legit' because it may only attract FSODers there to do their business. Just go into a game that points out the game's main purpose. (Like "TTF" or "Doing any quests". Or just simply "Battling" or "Leveling up")

If you're trying to find your friends, search up their Guild Card, check which ship and block their in, and go to the counter and check the block yourself and believe wheter the block is safe for you or not.( If it says there's only 1 user where your friend is at, then I'm pretty sure that the block is safe. lol)

Unfortunately, that's all the information I can support for you. Also, before going to any busy lobby, deposit all your rares in the bank( You wouldn't want to lose those, and there's no realy point in carrying them in the lobby with you since you can't do anything to your items). Good luck, and hopefully you learn some other online tips along your way.
