And you shouldn't have an advantage. It should be neutral. Ergo, hunt another. It is not through a glitch or fault of the game that that happened, it is through your own failing to protect the CPU, so it is not the games fault. The game did not mess up, failing a mission is not a glitch. It just means, you lose.

i think that if its important to you and you want the item, then do whatever you want! i don't think it matters why you dupe, if you want to dupe it completely fine with me, not like my opinion matters at all! duping is duping! personally, i dont really think duping is a problem. it may not be super uper painfully insane not even living life legit, but thats really ok! if the item matters that much to you, than by all means dupe it! duping can cause a problem, but this is just something personal that someone wants to do! it may not be the most legit thing to do, so if you don't want to dupe for lost items then don't. this is jarl's choice to dupe and still want to be considered legit, so jarl should make the decision that jarl wants to make.

i still think that its not legit to dupe that item that you lost and i also think a better idea would be to ask a friend or just simply find another one because i think you know that people that dupe still know that theyre hacking so i think you should pick one of the two that i suggested.

in fairness, people that dupe dont know they're hacking- i've duped backed up my two rarest weapons (god hand 0,45,0,0,40 and milla 0,30,0,0) because they're uber rare, and ive also duped a varista to check if im doing it right (the varista was dropped+i quitted afterwards, anyway) and i consider myself legit. i dont want to start stupdly duping stuff so all my chars can be teh pwnz, i was just wondering whether or not its ok t dupe the god/battle. its not fantastically important, its just a matter of inconvenience, but the people on here have said something that i never thought of- its my fault i lost the item because i didnt protect alicia, so therefor i cant dupe it and still be legit. thanks to that arguement that i hadnt thought of myself, i have not duped it. now will a mod PLEASE lock this?

Backup is a good idea. There's nothing stopping you from backing up and being legit.

And, in all fairness people that dupe are NOT hacking. It's true, using a glitch to your advantage and hacking are two different things. It's ST who were too lazy to seal off the duping glitch, therefore what it provides is not restricted and therefore t is not hacking to gain access to it.

BUT you dont have to hack to be non-legit. Using glitches to your advantage is what people define mainly as being non legit. Also, you can hack and still be legit.

Technically you could hack PSO so that it fixes some of the glitches and therefore forces you to play legitly. Oddly, to do so and play online would be illigal. But, that's because the majority of people would not hack to that end, so, I suppose it is reasonable.
