S-Ranks...Hmmmm

S-Rank weapons, intruiging, although impossible to get offline. I play TOTALLY legit offline mode on X-Box, but I think that may have to change. I have gotten a B, A, and S rank on challenge mode offline before, S-Rank twice, but I would REALLY like to have an S-Rank weapon, probably twin or cards, but this is obviously a problem with the whole offline thing. I recently happened upon 2 VERY nice rares recently, God/Mind and Demon's Calibur +8..............would it be proper attonement to drop those to the void for a friend with online to give me a S-rank Twin or Card? Or would that still be illigit, even though it's really a trade?

Any item of any kind created through use of hex editor, trainer, or cheat device, is illegit. If you get an item made by those means it is still illegit whether it's free or a trade.

If your friend has online take your character around to see him and earn the S-rank yourself.

I guess.... but i play on xbox, so i don't know if i could go online with a temp character, and to answer legato's question, i didn't mean a hacked one, but simply for HIM to earn one online legitly (?) then trade it to me, so i guess i kinda' answered my own question lol

right, if you get it yourself. then its legit. even if he is hacked if he got s rank then its totaly legit. but they dont get good untill you grinder them. (most are 250 grinder)

You CAN put your friend's serial number/access key/password on your memory card and get online. However if Xbox works the way Gamecube does, you should only do this if you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you will never activate your own account. Once you put a SN/AK/pass on your card, you CANNOT GET IT OFF unless you use an AR. I made this mistake, and by deleting the system file thinking that would fix it, I wiped my first four characters and had to re-make them. So use this option with caution.

Or, you could trade your friend something for one... OR, you know what? Take a new, blank memcard, put his SN/AK/pass on it and one character. Take that character online, clear cmode and get S-Rank... then take the weapon you get, move it to your real character, then delete the other one. It's a great solution.

Don't you need the actual game disk too? Not just the SN/AK? :S

No. I got online with my own disc in multiple places. As long as your card has a working SN/AK on it, you can access the servers regardless of your disc's serial number, or even version, I think... I haven't tried going online with my nonplus copy, but I'm pretty sure I could.
