I wonder what the new one will look like, though. This is kinda like, from going box to round, like the NES controller to SNES. DS would probably look kinda wierd like that..though.

Just a quick one here but you all know that the gba movie player works fine on D.S.? There was something amusing today about watching bleach at work on my D.S. Now there is a ds specific one for sale.

What a great little console this is,really when a psp owning friend of mine shows me his movie player and he sees kingkong playing on the ds lol,economically cheaper as well.
So much for the re-design imho really. 10 million units already shifted worldwide, it can't look that bad Nintendo?

the only problem is, if ninty don't release awesome DS compatibility with the revolution they will actually get mega-owned, by the xbox 360 for being the xbox 360, and by the ps3 for having decent psp-ps3 compatibility. if ninty put time into the ds-rev. then its going to pwn all

Agreed. It would be nice for us all if 10 mil. Revs. were shifted in yr1. Somehow though i get the feeling that for the last few years at least, Nintendo japan havenot worried too much in the home console market as they know they will always own the handheld market. The psp is the only one of many handhelds that has come remotely close to Nintendo domination. Interesting figures here sony roughly 73% home console market, Nintendo roughly 78% handheld market (both worldwide)

Sidenote:both animal crossingWW and Nintendo brain training have both sold in excess of 1million in japan alone with MK almost there i believe.

bit of past-ness here, but when my dad was look at 2005 dec30-jan6 2006 figures, there was more (from 1995-2004 japen) we went though them and we worked out that 25 mill pokémon games for gc-gba. ds would do uber with the new pokémon games out IMO it would help sales abit.(4-1 ds-psp suck on that psp fans lol[japen])

Well I remember hearing that in the week that Nintendogs came out, DS sales were up like 5 times the normal amount. I reckon it'll be even more with Pokemon... unless by then everyone who wants one already has one... :/

I should imagine diamond/pearl(pokemon), metroid hunters and new supermario brothers will all sell well on ds in all territories(hell even the japanese may buy metroid this time lol) but i dont know if those titles have the power of nintendogs to shift loads of ds's. We will see....

All I know is that AC: WW completely sold out here at one point, because it took me about a month later than the games release for me to get it, and I had about 9 game store possibilities.

Actually maybe you're right. The thing with Nintendogs was that it really shifted the female market.

Atm the Nintendo DS is completely sold out in Japan and you can't get one for love nor money! Nintendo have made a public apology over it! lol

They didn't expect the demand to be SO high over the holiday period. Crazy how things work out eh?
