This is going to sound such a noob question,
I've just recently got this for the GameCube/Wii.
I used to have PSO on Dreamcast so I haven't played it in years.

I've only been playing the Multi-Mode with my Bro.

We'd both like to know what we do with a Photon Drop and also The Delsaber Right Arm and really any of those 'yellow' items.

I have vague memories of the delsaber buster... but it was that long ago I can't remember how I got it.

Can any oldskools shed some light for me?

as for a pb, they are used to exchange (don't know were) for items, they can be traded for items, it is basicly like meseta, with meseta you buy stuff, the phonton drops are basicly the same, you lose them but in exacng you gain items

I thought I remembered having to do a quest in order to get the swap the part.
But I don't remember anything about Photon drops... are they a new addition for Ep2? Any Idea where I exchange them also?

I believe they are. The quest is an online-only one called Pannon's Shop, I think.

yeah I believe it is online only, I think it can also be used to improve weapons again I think that is online only. It could have been added to PSO extra (the second release) for the gamecube
