thhere was a sonic kart game on the game gear called sonic drift, was never popular, and was probably crap.
but nintendo made mario tennis, when they could of made an original tennis game. sega made virtua tennis and its a classic.
its just when people look at nintendo games there gonna see so much mario in all the genres, people want choice not just mario all the time

that comment belong in my vs thread this is just a genral poll of who u like better

although i dont see whats so apealing about some fat italian that can bearly run and jump i mean throught all the things hes done u would have thought heed have lost some weight

I think both sides would get an even amount of votes, actually. I dont think there is really a side really which the world as a whole considers better, its just all about preference. I personally liked both back then, but as far as newer games have gone, mario has bombed horribly, sonic has gotten not as good as the old games, but definitely better than mario Gayshine.

out of all the recent sonic games that came out (ie. Sonic Heroes) the only one i really like is Sonic Pinball Party for the Gba. It has remixed music from all the old sonic games, and even has stuff from NiGHts into Dreams, if anyone even heard of that game.

Yeah, but at least you don't see Sonic running around with some little gay backpack, or with a vacuum of sorts. It's still the same solid sonic, and not modified to some wierd mutated..thing.

Mario isnt cool anymore!!! Nintendo took he coolness away. They took his fireballs, the coolio sound he makes when he jumps and lets not forget all the loveable suits.

Thats why Sonic is cooler now.

Mario's coolness is only in one game: Super Smash Bros. Melee

The crazy guy is right, I think mario only retains his classic value in that game. It would be cool to see Sonic in Super Smash Brothers. :Wacko: Damn that freaking EGM april fools article, I am seriously one of the many people who actually tried that stunt and got very pissed off when I got past 20 Cruel melee KO's and no sonic.
