Do some research before replying Double Edge. Talis is a 9* card, Mahu is a 10* card. Attack potential of the Mahu is higher. The special of the Mahu is better, it steals more of the enemie's TP. The MST requirement of the Mahu is higher... that doesn't mean a thing but you can conclude it might be better.

i beat caves another four times and still got nothing so i've decided to give up on that. 
i did notice though that the chaos sorcerer drops it 1/104 and there are also several other things in ruins that i want, so i've started doing "The Retired Hunter" quest alot. i've grown a few levels and soon i may be able to do ultimate mode and get some better weapons.
1/11 ha!
by the way i tried for the talis about 8 times (before i found out there was the mahu and started looking for that) and i never found the talis either

I have found a Mahu like every other boss fight, however i do not see the fascination they are really lame

Ok..that's fair. BUT STFU Gynn Rei. Maybe 'stfu' is something even you will be able to comprehend. That's several times now you've said 'Do some research, Double Edge.' I have a life man, I don't spend my hours researching weapons for PSO. So sorry, I'm a failure, I didn't know Talis is worse than Mahu. *shoots self* Suck it up, princess.
On-topic: At any rate, I'd go for a Mahu over a Talis, according to Gynn's post. But both seem very similar and quite good, so just keep going for the Mahu, you'll find it soon.

Then once again, do not tell something you're not sure about! The information is all laid out and it is not much work to look up the stats of some weapons. It is misleading to post uncertain facts, those things are not neccesary. Do not get angry with me for the fact that you're wrong!
And you're making it sound that I'm stupid, this is just plain rude. It's better for me to say stfu to you. Do not doubt me!

hey, you know, there's no need to fight over which weapon is better (even though the mahu is) 
if the talis had better drop rates i might actually settle for that but its only 1/18 in hard mode, worse than the mahu

Hmm well wasn't looking for Mahu and ended up being the first thing he drops.
Used to struggle with Bosses to get em to drop their things.
But they've been really generous with my Skyly for some reason.
Hard Dragon gave me it's Musashi on first run, Hard Gal Gave me his Photon Claw first run, V-hard dragon gave me his Yamato first run. And that annoying crustacean gave me his Mahu on first Vh run.
That's the most boss rares I ever got in whatever ID I had. (USually only got the Yamato to show for from any of the bosses.).
Guess I'll give it to my Fomar, probably won't use it much but TP draining is always useful.

Mahu's special is soul, not geist.
And Double Edge, the point was that if you do not know, just do not post, this avoids false info to spread.

Actually it sais Geist in the Item Listing and in description it does say TP draining.
So if it's not Geist then someone needs to update the Item listing then, because Mahu is listed as Geist. And is listed as a TP stealing weapon.
Just wanted to clear that up.
