I'd like to hack Datel's computers and delete all their finance records and product records, and let them see how it feels, though I'm not the sort of person who would be an a*se enough to do it, I have better things to do with my time.

Technically, by law, Datel could be forced to put kill chips into their products, (as there is something within the 1984, 1998 DPA that makes the ability to alter sometime you don't own illegal).

I think Datel are not a UK company. Is that a law in the UK? maybe thats why they havent been forced todo such a thing ... :alien:

The DPA is globally applicable, so they still infringe it by selling something designed to alter the programming of a product.

Erm....you don't hack PSOBB with any of Datel's cheating devices. Although, I do find it strange that Action Replay and other cheating devices were even allowed to be released. But hey, I'm not against Action Replay, so I don't really care. =P

The methods used are similar.

As for the AR still existing, it's the same theory as Napster, even if they got caught, they'd still make money from it by giving the licences to someone else whilst it's in the hands of the courts.
