"Races" of PSO

Originally, both Newmans and Androids were created by humans through biogenetic and biomechanical engineering. Are they still made in this way?

i guess the androids still are, and i think newmans would breed, and then you could end up with human/newman crossbreeds aswell
Apologies to my fellow ragol.co.uk Teammates, i'm sorry for leaving you leaderless, and even more so for not getting back. but i wish you the best of luck in my absence! i miss you all!

Okay. Androids are created by Humans and Newmans. And we think Newmans can breed. There does not seem to be any cross-breeding between Human, Newman and Android/Humanoid, not in the game. You think that it's theoretically possible to breed human with newman? ...

I believe this my theory could be explained by a Punitz Square. Genetics are complicated but I'll try to shorten this so it's easy to explain. I believe being a Newman is a dominant trait so therefore if a human and newman breed there is greater chance for the offspring to be newman but genetics if often more statistics than science. If you have two newmans breed and being newman is supposedly superior(which very possibly means it's a dominant trait) then two dominants will result in the phenotype of newman (meaning 100% of the time the offspring will be newman) This is the same for humans two humans will make a human. But if a newman and human mate (or make sweet, sweet, love by the fire....sorry had to let the immaturity slip for a sec.Big Grin ) and assuming the newmen phenotype is dominant then for the first child the chance of it being newman is 75% the second 50% and the third 25% until a human is born. Of course these are just statiscal chances. But in my opinion if a human and newman mate there is just no way the phenotype would allow for a "mixed breed" of human and newman because why would nature create a mixture of the two when it could just easily pick the superior of the two. I don't mean there is no possibilty of the two mixing, it's just that human genes don't work in that manner, and newmans were humans who were genes were altered to be better than the average human, thus nature would naturally would pick the better of the two.Big Grin Sorry if it sounds a little complicated but it's not really that hard to understand.

But then humans would become an endangered species. Don't forget that they have evolved through millions of years of natural selection to get to what they are. Newmans are something new and have not yet beaten the test of time. This is very dangerous. I'm not liking it much. The future of PSO is not bright for humans. :'(

you're sick.... talking about "breeding" people, even if their from a video game, that's just not right. also, being a newman would seem more like a recessive trait
Too legit to quit.

You didn't read carefully enough it's all statistical. They're just numbers, calculated out of chance not actual numbers. A Newman female could give birth to seven human children while another gives birth to 3 humans or 2 newmans. Statistics are merely numbers that tell you the chance of something happening. And besides, Punitz Squares only work as far as I know on humans comparing genotypes that could become phenotypes. I'm sure the scientist who created newmans saw this and made sure of something to counter it. But I'm going on what I know of genetics. Two different human species could complicate things immensly. But like I previously posted I'm pretty sure the newman phenotype is dominant therefore resulting in the choices of which I stated in my previous post.Wink Big Grin
