yes, you can have it on a 3rd party momory card, i think
to take a snapshot you need a controller in port 4
hold down the L button ingame to bring up the carema sight, then press A when you have the shot set up right, and A again to save the snapshot, you can only have 1 snapshot per card, and you cant upload the snapshot to your pc unless you download PSOproxy, there are instructions on this forum of how to do that
