the easiest way to hunt rare items is to prepare for the worst even with the lowest of drop rates plain and simple. There is no item to decrease insanely high drops rates. However knowing which missions put out the highest amount of enemies for the rare you want helps . For example if they rare is dropped by a creature in the forest so long as its not a hildebear id reccommend central dome fire swirl you see a hell of a lot of everything save the bears which you only see four of assuming you dont botch the mission
