Unlike other MMORPG's, PSO does not give anyone the exclusive right to a specific username. So it is possible to see many different characters with the same name. Since PSO's messaging system is all done through exchanging guild cards, there is no confusion when you PM somebody even if other people have the same username. It's kinda dissappointing to see people with the same name, but since the game saves aren't stored in the online server, there is no way to really prevent it.
