What are Emerald, Diamond and Pearl? If they're not GBA titles, then you might not be able to trade.
In FireRed/LeafGreen/Ruby/Sapphire you definitely can. FRed/LGreen is a remake of GB's Red/Blue. But warning: you cannot trade Pokémon outside the 150 into FRed/LGreen until you beat the Elite Four (or the 13374 as I and my friend always call them, lol).
