That would actually be pretty killer. You could play along with Red Ring Rico from Pioneer 1 as they went exploring!

Sonic Team should definately consider that as a future game, like Capcom did with Resident Evil, making Resident Evil Zero - how they got to the house on Resident Evil 1! Ooooohh...
