The thing is, that's the point of The Void. Many members on forums simply post to increase their reputation and popularity via post count. The Void is there as a forum in which you can still gain popularity, but your posts do not count towards your total. This way, members need not worry as much as in the other forums about staying on-topic and spam issues.
In a Nutshell: If The Void was made so that when a member posts there, it counts toward their total; an enormous amount of spam would result.
Case Closed? I'd say so.
