Yeah I noticed when playing online I seem to find more rares, the drop chances are the same but because there are so many more enemies in a shorter amount of time it appears that the rares have become more common. If you want to hunt boss rares, do ttf, its also good for rares because lots of the same enemy spawn at once raising the chance of a rare. TTF, MA, and MA2 are very handy for rares. Remember, control tower has some enemies specifically that do not appear elsewhere, so some rares can ONLY be obtained from there and therefore online.
