I'm sorry to have to say this but it kind of reminds me of a situation I was in two years ago. I had a friend that I had a crush on and so I began to bond more with her. When I finally got around to asking her out, she thought of me more as a friend and because of this said no. This is probably going to be somewhat of a downer, but that does not mean that this is the same case with you.
