Zealots are the worse for rush...I will tell you the best way to ruah with Protoss..
Cannons...run to thier base ASAP and build massasve cannons...they will not be expecting it.....Zergs build zerglings..but before the egg hatches cannons destroy them.
Starcraft on N64 is WAY DIFFERENT than Computer...so anything you learned there is wrong...for one...hydralisks do NOT destroy carriers in seconds....they die in seconds.
Sencondly, the little blow up things, they can kill carriers easily, but if I have my army then they can't get near them. Arbiters are helpful also...
About the ground defense...CARRIERS ATTACK GROUND....so that means if anything runs past them...they die...I do not need ground defense....but I usually place Cannons around the entrance to a base just in case they go around my army...
Hydralisks are good..but Zergs always use that rush...so everyone expects them...just rush them instead with cannons...and build a few Zealots...Zealots own zerglings.
