heres a hint to fighting the miniboss- take out all the gees except one, because if you take them all out 4 more will appear. also, if you see a red spiky football coming towards you, your screwed
 just be a RA or FO, run just into the room and shoot/cast at him  simple... then when he looks at you run like hell out
