Very strange... Once you travel to a different site it shouldn't matter. Your browser doesn't keep anything it doesn't need from other sites because HTML is stateless.

What browser are you using?

I think if you do a CTRL + F5 (or refresh button) it'll force the browser to make a proper refresh of the site. If that doesn't work try ALT and SHIFT... could be just a rumour I've been told =/
