I can say that Meteor Cudgel is a pretty good weapon (I don't own a Gi Gue Bazooka so I can't offer an opinion on it). Even though there are more options to hunt the Cudgel, you could easily say they're about equal in rarity, at least if you're online and you could play PW1 over and over to hunt Gi Gue items (or PW4 if you're either a. insane or b. Kefka 
). I'd make the trade item-for-item if I didn't have a cudgel... if I were in his position and I had a spare cudgel I'd definitely make the trade. Perhaps the addition of mats into the equation isn't really necessary, but eh... it all depends on how much value you give to the cudgel (I mean, how rare a cudgel are we talking about here? any hit on it?).
