I'm all for helping people stopping suicide and all but after the 5th time he has said he is commiting it. It just seems like a attention gain. If the guy is really that unhappy that you have had to stop him and he keeps going back, let him.
You guys have given your views 5 times to him now and he always backs out for a while then jumps back in. It's rediculous really. He may be a great guy and what not but if he wants to end his life so much that he just keeps saying he will. Let him.
We all finally need a reality check that it's simply stupid to preach your heart out for a guy who you know will go back to the same state he was in, in only a few weeks.
He can get professional help if he wishes but it is stupid to keep going on like this. If he wants to go, let him. If he thinks his life is that bad then let him. Lets stop this nonsense.
