as an update, i took my fomar into ultimate last night.
ya know, vhard dark falz sucks in light mode. i think the best thing i had for the job was a Resist/Saint.
as far as ultimate goes? well, suffice to say that all i've seen in there so far are the weird bulgas (wolf things, i might be wrong on the name) and bartles and such. it's a whole lot different in there, but ya see, i've read a lotta stuff saying that meleeing with my fomar was going to suck bad, and i might as well use strictly techs.
well, i went in with a soul eater, delsaber's buster, and a talis at level 73 (leveled up to 74 after about 5 dudes). i used jellen, zalure, shifta, and deband on each guy, then meleed him and frankly it wasn't too bad. it took about three combos per guy (9 hits when using the hard hit for the last two in each combo) but all in all i was kinda having fun. the other difficulties weren't like that.
maybe what people are talking about is later on, when i reach mines and such. or maybe i just haven't updated my tech's enough too. i haven't found a lot of good magic in vhard, maybe that'll change.
ah, just had a second look at whiteninja's post. the caves, that's where i oughtta get. gotcha.
now i gotta find my fiance a delsaber's buster. she kinda oggled that.
